I’ve loved a jean jacket, since seeing Bruce Springsteen the early 80′s.  A classic shape and goes with EVERYTHING!

I’ve upgraded from the Levi jacket to a designer version that has a feminine shape and accented with denim flowers on the lapel.  Here are a few inspirations on wearing a jean jacket.

First off the one don’t…never with a matching jean.

Do pair your jean jacket with everything else…this spring’s pleated skirts, satin tuxedo pants, or a pencil skirt.  A jean jacket will give rugged edge to anything

This past weekend, I sang with a mass choral group. We were asked to wear all black or black bottoms with a white top. Since, this Fashiondiva did not want to look like a waiter, I went for my little black dress, I realized I don’t really wear my LBD, but was an easy grab and slate for an unlimited list of accessories. I had a hard time deciding on how to style my LBD, because there are so many options. Since, I was wearing my LBD for the reason above, I styled it with a white belt and black and white Bottega Veneta woven mules. White earrings and loaded my arm with white bracelets.

My LBD is in a soft drapey black silk, but any high quality fabric will work. Following a few simple rules a LBD can be a wardrobe staple and worn to several different occasions. Always purchase a LBD in a high quality fabric and always dry clean. A LBD is worn often, so high quality and dry cleaning will keep it looking new and fresh.
